About the Owner

Ron Bartgis is a USMC Special Forces Recon veteran. After serving his country in the Gulf War, he joined his wife in Florida to receive his Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts degree with a minor in Radiology. Although he loved the medical industry and his time in the field, he missed the demands of a physical role. His family moved to Simsbury, CT in 1999 where he was able to fill that void and started Finished Splinters LLC.

Over the years, Ron has completed a wide variety of projects from small to very large (he custom built his wife the house of her dreams by hand, by himself). He exceeds customer expectations every time and he has proof. Ron’s customer base has been built on referrals from prior clients, vendors and repeat customers. 
Ron is dedicated to exceptional quality, phenomenal service and extraordinary customer satisfaction. He is devoted to all of his clients and takes pride in his work and the relationships that he builds with every customer. His attention to detail is unsurpassed.  All of the work on this site contains actual photographs of projects that Ron has personally completed.
